| Updates or news you would like to share: Since graduation I pulled a 2 year hitch in the US Army, was married to Valiera Jane Browder, a 1968 graduate of Meadowdale HS. We've raised 2 children, Christopher, born in 1971 and Nichole, born in 1974. While in Ohio I worked for Ohio Bell Telephone and lived in West Milton. We moved to Scottsdale, AZ in 1981, working for Mountain Bell Telephone. Then I transferred to Denver, CO with US West Communications, eventually retiring early and taking a position of VP of Engineering at Qwest Communications International. We have traveled a lot over the years, especially in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Ireland, Scotland. Italy and Canada. We love Europe and the people there. We currently live in Frederick, Colorado, previously in Littleton, Colorado. Our son Chris lives in Goodyear, AZ and our daughter lives in Dacono, CO. We moved to Frederick in August 2024 to be closer to our daughter. I am active in the Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 1071, as Director of our Honors Burial Program, whereby we search for unclaimed cremains of veterans that have been left in funeral homes up and down the front range of the Rocky Mountains. Val continues her work with quilting and the church. | |

It's been a long road since FHS. Now I'm teaching at FSU (Florida State University). But back to somewhat of the beginning. I received my MM in Voice Performance from USC. Moved to NYC to pursue my career which went well enough to move to Europe (living in Germany) and singing dramatic and leading operatic roles throughout Europe, Asia and America. I returned to the States in 2001 and taught voice at Houghton College in western NY and am now Full Professor at FSU. I also have a voice studio in NYC and go monthly to teach my students there. AND I'm still singing which is pretty amazing! Thankful for it!! I'm envious of those of you who are enjoying retirement but it doesn't seem to be on my radar yet! Maybe one day! All the best for the reunion! Wish I could be there!! |
