GRADUATION

The commencement ceremony took place at the
NCR auditorium on June 7, 1966.
The theme of the evening's program was
"BETWEEN TWO WORLDS".

Mike Levitt gave the commencement speech titled "The Challenge".
What follows is the closing verse from that speech.

"Only the dream will last. Some distant day
The wheels will falter, and the silent sun
Will see the last beam leveled to decay
And all man's futile clangor spent and done.
Yet, after brick and steel and stone are gone
And flesh and blood are dust, the dream lives on."

Prior to the address, class member Virginia Dilts gave the Invocation, class members Shirley Close, Andrew Allen and David Mitchell performed the song "Climb Every Mountain". Other classmates speaking at the event were: Ron Remick - "Shall the Twain Meet?", Jan Eckert - "The Have and The Have Nots", Charles Berry - "From Hours To Seconds". Alternate speakers were Sandra Sturdivant and Sharon Sickels. Benediction was given by Patricia Patterson. The curtain closed on the ceremony with the song "You'll Never Walk Alone".
