45th REUNION
The reunion was held July 29th and 30th 2011 with a great group of Bulldogs attending! Thanks to Deedy and others, it was a wonderful event!
SLIDE SHOW PRESENTATION CLICK HERE
The YouTube reunion slide show was created by Tom Kender. Photos were supplied by Bill Bridges, Deedy Dryden and Carole Egusa. Enjoy! Thanks Bulldogs!
Many thanks from the entire class to Deedy for doing a fantastic job organizing the 45th reunion and others who helped her. Thank you to Murray for his presentation in honor of Nancy Marker Steinert. The last few years have brought change. The closeness, caring and hard work of our classmates eased that change into a most enjoyable event that will last in our memories for years to come!! Thank you to all who made this event possible. We look forward to the 50th!! It will be here before we know it!
Missed at the reunion were these longtime friends Vicki Frankowitz, Andi Cowan and Cindy Ellison. Vicki recently moved to Jerusalem to be close to her family and we all wish her the very best. The friends were all together in February 2011 to reunite and to wish Vicki well on her journey.
Alice Nierenberg could not attend the reunion because she had the opportunity to act in a community play "Over the Tavern". She shared this photo with us! There she is in the middle of the back row with that beautiful smile. Yeah Alice!
DC AREA MINI FHS '66 REUNION — OCTOBER 2011
The Fairview Class of '66 alum who live in the DC metro area held their first annual regional reunion at the end of October 2011. It was great. Darlene Engle (Cooke) organized the classmates, and Senior Class President (Greer) Reed Putnam graciously hosted them at his home. Attendees in the front row were: Reed Putnam, Karen Flayler (Wolf), Nancy Caplan, Darlene Engle (Cooke). In the back row were: Murray Horwitz, John Pichler, Rick Bader, and Mike Levitt. They are all looking forward to gathering again next year.
Please share current photos of yourself, especially if you did not attend
the reunion, and we will post them.

Here’s the Scoop: Tom Studebaker, FHS Class of ’77, is the sales manager of the hotel and will be working with us on this special event. The hotel is going through major remodeling and should be finished by June 1. It will become the Wyndham Gardens late spring. Tom is blocking 25 rooms for $89 (plus tax) each day. (We can get more rooms at that rate, if available.) All rooms must be booked by July 8, 2011. But please book your room as soon as possible, so we can make more rooms available if we see a need. Their local number, a direct line to Tom Studebaker, is 1-937-432-3331. The toll-free number is 1-800-465-4329. And their Web site is www.hidayton.com.
Friday Evening, 7 p.m. to 12 midnight or so
Casual Ice-Breaker with 60s Music
We will be in the bar area of the restaurant, called Pete and Rosie’s (formerly Rockie’s). Drinks and appetizers can be purchased individually. Other former classmates from FHS are welcome to join us. There will be a FHS Special Menu for us in the restaurant area for people who would like to order a dinner, available for several hours. To set the stage, we’ll have 50s, 60s, and 70s background music for the evening in the bar. If enough people are still there at midnight, the Wyndham will allow us to stay until 1 a.m.
Saturday Evening, 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Sit-Down Dinner/Dance (Business Casual)
It will be a sit-down dinner with a selection of either Stuffed Sole (flaky white fish with a crabmeat and scallop stuffing) or Chicken Marsala (chicken breast medallions with a rich Marsala wine sauce). Make your selection when you register. (People with special dietary needs should let us know what those needs are. A vegetarian or gluten-free entrée will be available, if you let us know when you register.) All entrées include the following: salad, chef’s mixed vegetable, baked potato, rolls, dessert, tea and/or coffee. There will be a Cash Bar. We will have a group picture before dinner, a program after dinner, and 50s, 60s, and 70s dj music after the program (Deedy and Larry of DJs Unlimited).
